I have seen this type of post floating around the blogosphere, but it wasn’t until I read Georgia’s that I thought I’d do it myself. Perhaps it’s her writing style. Either way, thank you Georgia for inspiring this post.
Make sure that you follow my Pinterest! I’ll make my bedroom board public so that you can see my ideas and progress on my future bedroom. I got such nice feedback from the pinspiration post, I’ll have to chronicle my room transformation.
IF WE WERE HAVING COFFEE
If we were having coffee, I’d be drinking iced coffee. Just saying, it’s basically June here in California and it’s hot hot hot. If we’re drinking coffee, it’d better be cold.
If we were having coffee, I’d tell you that school is almost over. No really, there’s only about twelve days of school left, and even less for me because I’m magically exempt from finals. I’d tell you how crazy this summer is going to be.
If we were having coffee, I’d tell you that these are the last few months my brother will be living with us. I’d tell you that he’s going to college in the fall and I’ll be excited to have the house to myself. I’d tell you that it only means I’ll get to visit SoCal more and I’m excited for that.
If we were having coffee, I’d tell you that my videos were a flop. I’d tell you that while I enjoyed the concept of making them, I realized how actually stressed out I was only to be disappointed with the final project. I’d tell you I’m bummed and embarrassed but I’d also tell you that I don’t need more stress in my life anyways.
If we were having coffee, I’d tell you that I’m still trying to get into modelling. I’d tell you that I’m about an inch shorter than most of the minimum height requirements and I’m discouraged. I’d tell you I’m embarrassed to tell my friends about it because I don’t want them to laugh at me for having such an absurd idea.
If we were having coffee, I’d tell you about my job search. In California, there’s an age limit on most jobs. I’d tell you that the little league baseball season is ending and I need a source of income for the summer.
If we were having coffee, I’d tell you how extremely excited I am about the summer. I’d tell you about my plans of spending days on days at the beach, despite the nearest beach being a couple of hours away. I’d tell you how I hope to get tan and be happy.
If we were having coffee, I’d tell you about how seriously I need to start taking getting fit and healthy. I’d tell you that I’m going to hit the gym more, and I’d tell you that I really need to start eating better. I’d tell you I’m disappointed in myself for not having the willpower to stick to anything.
If we were having coffee, I’d tell you about how happy my blog makes me. I’d tell you about how nice it is to have this community of friends who read my thoughts and makes it feel like I’m having coffee with them every day. I’d also tell you how sometimes it can be stressful to decide between writing what I want and writing what the audience wants. I’d tell you that sometimes personal creativity only gets you so far.
But most importantly, If we were having coffee, I’d tell you that no matter how ridiculous my ideas or passions are, I’m not going to give up on them until I can’t possibly go any further. So don’t expect any giving up around here.
