If We Were Having Coffee | 002

Hello friends.

Look at me, three days in a row. I’m bouncing back from my creativity rut, slowly but surely. Inspiration comes to me when I tune out the rest of the world. Send me to a house in the mountains; I’ll have dozens of posts for you.

Is it too soon for another Coffee Talk post? Many of you enjoyed my last one, so much so that it has become my most popular post stats-wise. I always like to share my thoughts with you, so I say it’s not soon enough. I must mention – most of my coffee topics revolve around the blog, so perhaps this is coffee with a blog friend. That works for you.

So, off to coffee.

If we were having coffee, I would tell you that this is not my photograph. I don’t know whose photograph it is. I would tell you I took it off of Google and if you own this photograph, let’s have a chat.

If we were having coffee, I would tell you that I remodeled my blog. I would tell you that I finally got the pipdig theme I’d wanted since March or April, and I’d ask what you thought of the new place. I think it looks quite sleek.

If we were having coffee, I would tell you that my summer has been so boring. I would tell you that all my friends have gone out of the country on fancy vacations and that I’ve only left my house to go to work. I would tell you that I hope summer doesn’t stay this way.

If we were having coffee, I’d tell you that I’m not eating as well as I want to. I’ve started making my own smoothie bowls with just frozen fruit, Greek yogurt, and a little bit of almond milk, but I would tell you I went a week without going to the gym and I feel terrible.

If we were having coffee, I’d ask you for a good book recommendation. I would tell you that I like wellness and motivational books, and that there’s a whole list of girl power reads that I need to pick up. But I’d also tell you that I need a good story to get lost in.

If we were having coffee, I would tell you that I want to sign up for a beauty subscription box like Birchbox or Ipsy, but I’d tell you my mom doesn’t think it’s worth the money and she’s worried about my sensitive skin.

If we were having coffee, I’d tell you that I will be having a giveaway soon and I’m so excited about it. I would tell you that it’ll be sooner than you think and that you’d better follow or at least check back often so you don’t miss it. I will also tell you that this will not be just any giveaway and that you’ll be helping a good cause in the meantime.

If we were having coffee, I would tell you that I have some shopping discount codes but I can only share them with you if you’re subscribed to my newsletter. I’d tell you that you’d save a lot of money.

If we were having coffee, at this point, you’d ask me to stop self-promoting and I would.

If we were having coffee, I would ask you to leave me a comment below with your thoughts about any of my thoughts.

Our coffee date is over.

Don’t reach for your wallet, it’s on me.

I love the coffee themed posts! They are so fun and I feel like I get to know you better. I love the new look of your blog, it is very sleek and cool! I also understand what it feels like to be working all summer. One summer I worked 40 hours a week while all my friends got to do fun things. While it sucks now, it does pay off! I used the money from that job to pay for a 4 week trip to Europe and some other awesome things! I hope that this job pays off (literally or figuratively) for you in the future!

Thank you so much! Honestly, I wish I could work 40 hours a week! You’d make so much money!

Any better is better than no money though, haha! Any bit helps 😊

I absolutely love the new blog theme. It’s so clean and simple and user friendly. Also, I love that your social media buttons are really accessible and right where we can see them. A really good choice of theme. I expected no less of you, my dear friend. I’m happy to you got your blogging mojo back. I love to read your posts and feel sad when you say you don’t know what to write because you just have so much to give. Now, can I get a donut? On you? <3

Thank you so much for the kind words, Cheila! I really appreciate the feedback and I’m glad that you like the theme. And yes, get whatever donut you wish!

I love your theme! I just read The Road by Cormac McCarthy and Gone Girl and I would totally recommend both of them to you! xxx

Thanks Ella! I’ll check those books out!

If we were having coffee, Id tell you that I like your cute little humor in this post!! You did get to go to SF, that’s gotta count of a little summer fun! But I’m with ya, 5/7 days its just work work work work (work…gotta account for the full 5 days lol) over here too 🙁 I like the sounds of a giveaway though!!!! Also If you were going to do a subscription- I would 1000000% do the sephora playbox. However, with ipsy, you can pretty much check off things you want and don’t want so if you didn’t want things like foundation or face washes etc.. they won’t send you stuff like that. Like for me I choose not to do any cleaners, toners, moisturizers and never ever wear eye shadow so I opted out for any of those and they never send me stuff related to it!

Jenny, thanks so much for the comment! I do have some more family trips coming up in July/August, so I think it’s really just the weeks in June that are dragging on! And I had never heard of Sephora Playbox before getting a blog, so many reviews by people who seem to love them! I’ll check them out later! Thanks so much for reading!

If you want a good story to get lost in, I can’t recommend reading I found you by Lisa Jewell more, infact I can recommend quite a lot of thrillers haha!

Yay another coffee date! I like that you’re slowly bouncing back from that rut you’ve been in. It’s nice to have you back and with a coffee date! I too love this ideas as it’s a nice way to get those random thoughts out to everyone 😀
Your blog is looking super sleek by the way. Very minimal, black and white and totally chic. I have completely lost my interest in working out and eating healthy lately which I’m really annoyed about. I blame the cold, but also I know it’s just me. Once I lose a habit, it’s so damn hard to get back into it.I wish us both luck.

    • June 28, 2017 / 2:50 pm

Thanks so much for reading, Angela! I’m glad to hear that you find these interesting to read! Also, thank you so much for your kind words about my blog. And I wish you the best of luck for both working out and eating – it’s really too hard!

  9. June 27, 2017 / 4:28 pm

I do love your theme! If we were having coffee I’d say I’m looking forward to seeing your giveaway! 😀 And that you should plan a little trip for yourself this summer!

    • June 27, 2017 / 7:16 pm

Thank you so much, Pamela! I do have some family trips coming up so that’s something! And I’m excited for the giveaway as well (:

Hah that brought a smile to my face. Witty coffee partner, a salted caramel baked goodie and a cup of cappuccino. I could deal with that. And the Pipdig theme is great. If I had a cute piglet as pet, I might steal that name xx

    • June 27, 2017 / 3:48 pm

So kind of you to say! Salted caramel sounds good, I’ve never had anything but the cake. And what a perfect name for a piglet!

      • June 27, 2017 / 6:12 pm

I could bring some over some salted caramel cupcakes from the famed Magnolia bakery of NY and bung in some other flavours too 😀 xx

        • June 27, 2017 / 7:17 pm

How amazing! I wish to visit NY someday very soon!

  11. June 27, 2017 / 3:11 pm
