Nighttime Skincare Routine!

Hello friends.

I thought that today I would share with you my nightly skincare routine. It’s not super involved; it takes me around ten minutes to complete, but it is different from my morning skincare routine.

Before we begin, the lighting in my room is, not great. So I apologize in advance.

The first thing that I do is (obviously) take off any makeup that I was wearing that day. Lately, I haven’t been wearing any makeup to give my skin a chance to breathe, but if I am wearing makeup I will take it off using by Purity Made Simple Facial Cleanser by Philosophy.

I like to use a face mask close to every night if possible, although I know it’s not great. I currently switch off between the Pixi Glow Mud Mask and the Pixi Peel and Polish Enzyme Peel. If I’m using the mud mask, I’ll exfoliate first using my St. Ive’s Bright Skin Apricot Scrub. If I’m using the enzyme peel, I won’t exfoliate because the mask is pretty strong. Both of these masks say to use 2-3 times per week so I like to switch off each night during a typical five-night school week.

I will take a shower in between steps two and three, but I don’t do anything to my face in the shower. After I get out of the shower, I cleanse my face again using the Pixi Glow Mud Cleanser. I take a little bit of this and massage it into my skin for thirty seconds before rinsing, focusing on areas of congestion like my forehead, where I tend to get plugged pores. If you haven’t noticed yet, I’ve totally been loving the Pixi skincare line right now.

I like to tone my face using the ever-famous Pixi Glow Tonic. I had never really noticed a difference whilst using toner until I started using this one – my skintone is a lot more evened out and I’m loving it. I’ve been using a lot of Pixi products because I love that they’re all about finding your skin’s natural glow. I love not having to wear makeup and having that flawless skin appearance without it, so Pixi products are so far the ones for me.

I finish my skincare routine my moisturizing my face and eyes using my Yes to Carrots Nourishing Night Cream and my CeraVe Eye Repair Cream. I tend to get dry skin under my eyes and also along my nose and between my eyebrows, and both of these products really work to combat that whilst I sleep.

That is basically it for my nightly skincare routine. Of course I don’t have perfect skin, but I really like the way these products work for me!

Leave me a comment if you’d like to see my morning skincare routine. Also, what do you use on a nightly basis?

I keep forget to thoroughly cleanse my face, as I tend to use makeup remover and just a foam facial wash. It’s true I need to start exfoliating daily so I can get rid of those clogged pores. Especially living in a city all the dirt gets stuck on your face!

It’s really important to cleanse! Thanks for reading!

Hi gorgeous!! I really enjoy reading others people’s routine :D. A mask each day!! I’m too lazy for that haha, especially the rinsing part. It’s true that a tonic can make a difference in evening out your skin tone. The Clinique one really worked well for me! Which skin type do you have? xoxo Sarah

I actually love face masks, it’s so relaxing and that’s why I like to do them close to everyday! I have combination skin! Thanks so much for reading!

You should do a morning routine. I need to check out the Pixi skin care line, the products sound great. For my nighttime routine, I use make-up remover wipes by blum naturals, alternate between the e.l.f. hydrating bubble mask and the origins mud mask. Then I use tea tree toner by the body shop and end up with origins night crème.

Hey, thanks! I will do a morning routine. And you do need to check out the Pixi line, I love it! Your nighttime routine sounds amazing – I’m so intrigued by those bubble masks. I had no idea e.l.f. made one, it’s probably cheap so I should check it out!

      • May 27, 2017 / 10:04 pm

it’s around $14 so it’s not bad at all. It will last you at least 3 months and anytime :).

        • May 28, 2017 / 4:59 pm

That’s a little pricey for e.l.f. stuff, but if it’s worth it, then there’s no problem! Thanks again for reading!

          • May 28, 2017 / 7:49 pm

It’s nice but honestly I wouldn’t pay for it. I received it from Influenster and anytime πŸ™‚

I really want to try the Pixi brand, I was going to get it from Beauty Bay the other week!

      • May 26, 2017 / 3:17 pm

I think I might have too! I also gave you a little follow πŸ™‚

I always love reading what others use for their skin routine! I love anything cera ve- but haven’t tried their eye cream! Definitely will have to do that. And I’ve never even heard of Pixi- such great suggestions!

Sorry I took so long to respond! Just like Abi, your comments are going into my spam folder for some reason! And you should definitely try the Pixi line – I had never heard of them either until recently and I’m in love! Thanks so much for reading as always!

      • May 29, 2017 / 6:54 pm

No way!!!!! Shoot I wonder if that’s happening to others too?! Thanks for letting me know! And of course – I get so excited whenever I have spare time to catch up on your blog πŸ™‚

So interesting you cleanse after you do a mask. I double cleanse (oil then micellar water), tone and then I mask. I always think a mask is meant to be the final step so that whatever benefit or even residue is left on the skin.

    • May 25, 2017 / 7:45 pm

Interesting! It probably is meant to be the last step, but I always do it before I shower anyways. I always make sure to leave it on for quite a while though so that the ingredients have time to act on my skin! Thank you for reading!

I love “Yes To” products, I use the YES TO Tomatoes the charcoal one, I find its the best to keep my acne prone skin super tame. I should try their moisturizer though, I’ve been looking for a new one. Do you find that the CeraVe helps with dark circles or is it more just a moisture kind of product?

    xo, JJ

    • May 25, 2017 / 1:17 pm

I had heard of the YesTo charcoal one a while back and didn’t even think of it when charcoal products became all the rage again! I should definitely try it out. I honestly couldn’t tell you about dark circles, since mine are ever-permanent. It claims to, but I mostly use it for the moisture!

  8. May 25, 2017 / 11:17 am

Oooh I haven’t even heard of Pixi so I’ve definitely got to check that out!xx

    • May 25, 2017 / 11:51 am

You totally should! It’s a lovely line. Thanks for reading!

  9. May 24, 2017 / 5:15 pm

I’m almost out of my purity cleanser! I’m debating if I should repurchase or try something new. πŸ˜‚ Love your entire routine though!

    • May 24, 2017 / 9:51 pm

Thank you so much! I’ve got to say, I love that Purity cleanser. And I think that’s just because every other makeup remover I’ve used was too harsh on my sensitive skin. But it’s always fun to try something new! Let me know what you decide!

I would love to read your morning routine! This post was super interesting, I love reading people’s routines! πŸ’—

Thank you so much! I’m sorry I took so long to respond, for some reason your comments have been going into my spam folder!

I alternate between masks as well. I have a green clay purifying one, an exfoliating one and another that it’s suppose to really hydrate my skin.

    • May 24, 2017 / 9:51 pm

An exfoliating mask sounds amazing! I really want to try one. The Pixi peel and polish is sort of like that but more of a chemical peel than an exfoliating mask. Thanks as always for reading!

  12. May 24, 2017 / 1:23 pm

That looks like a really good skincare routine! I don’t have one (also face masks freak me out XD ), but I’m always interested in reading about other people’s πŸ˜€

    • May 24, 2017 / 1:42 pm

Thank you! Why do face masks freak you out? I tend to be a little wary of the cheap Target ones because they can make my skin have a reaction, but I’m normally pretty sure in skincare brand face masks!

      • May 24, 2017 / 1:44 pm

The few times I put them on, they just feel weird to me. All wet and moist. I don’t know, there’s no real reason for my dislike of them. I just don’t XD Maybe, I haven’t tried a good one yet..

        • May 24, 2017 / 2:33 pm

Maybe! Personally I love face masks because my skin always feels super rejuvenated afterwards, but I know some people don’t like them as much!

  13. May 24, 2017 / 12:27 pm

The Purity Cleanser is incredible! I’ve been really loving the entire OSEA line lately myself xx.

    • May 24, 2017 / 12:32 pm

It’s one of my favorites! And good to know, I’ll have to check it out! Thanks for reading!
