I apologize for slacking off lately, but I’ve been really busy with the end of summer. School starts tomorrow, and I’ll say now that I honestly have no idea what my schedule will be like and therefore I can’t really predict when I’ll be able to post next. I do have some things lined up but unfortunately I haven’t gotten around to writing them yet. I’ll loosely say this weekend but it could be earlier or later.
I wanted to give a little recap on these last few days of summer! Tomorrow my life returns to normal, and on Thursday Matt leaves for college. Change is definitely in the air around here, but it’s good change. I’ll update you as soon as I can on these endeavors. Anyways, I’ll keep this little intro short and sweet and just get right into what’s been happening.
Earlier this month, I went camping with a bunch of friends to celebrate the lovely Mckella’s (second from right) birthday! We camped super locally and it was actually really fun – lots of people from the theater group were there and it was a nice way to spend a summer night.
I TURN 16?
I don’t have any pictures from this one, but my birthday was on Sunday and we celebrated on Saturday by heading out to this little field in the countryside to look at stars and have a good time. It was fun, although I’ll admit that 16 is not much better than 15. Still waiting for my license, but at least I have a car…
The eclipse was not really visible from where I live. It was said to be 80% totality, although the sky hardly got dark. But hey, any excuse you get to have waffles on a roof is a good one. Also, can we talk about how cute these sunglasses are? They aren’t mine, I have similar ones, although I’m really in love with these ones.
Cheer season is officially upon us. We celebrated the beginning of Friday Night Lights with a little kickoff banquet – which is totally just an excuse to get dressed up and take pictures, and I’m 100% here for it.
Those are pretty much the main events that have happened during this last month of summer! I didn’t really have a lot of pictures from anything else, but it was honestly a really amazing summer. This year will hopefully follow in its path of greatness.
What has been your favorite summer memory so far?
