Weekly Review #1 (Also Known As Little Pictures, Big Memories)

Hello friends!

I can’t believe how little time I’ve had these past couple of weeks. I’m coming up on my fourth week of school, about a month in, and my schedule hasn’t gotten any less crazy, which I’d say is both good and bad. Good because it keeps me busy, but bad because I’ve had absolutely zero time to both read your posts and write some of my own. In fact, I wasn’t originally going to put this post up considering that last week wasn’t super eventful and I don’t have that many pictures, but I really needed to get something up. I do apologize to those of you who read my posts! I mentioned that I wasn’t sure how much time I’d have with school and now I’m learning that I probably won’t have a lot. Right now, I can do about one post a week but if I stretch it I could probably do two or three. For now, I’d count on about one or two with a newsletter. I’ve been so tired lately that after school, homework, and cheer, I crash. I’m still doing my best to read and comment on all of your lovely posts before falling asleep! I hope you’ll forgive me!

I’ve been inspired by the very talented and amazing Mckenzie, of StyledbyMckenz, to do a little review on my week. I’ve actually been posting little photo series of my week on Instagram and it’s really fun to look back on, so I thought I’d chronicle it on the blog and write a little bit about what’s been happening. A special thank you to McKenzie for allowing me to jump in on her idea! Make sure to go and check out her blog and read her weekly updates – she always shares her absolutely adorable outfits of the week! Thank you again, McKenzie!

MONDAY, 9/4/17

Monday was Labor Day, and I really didn’t do a whole lot. I slept in, had lunch with Maddie at our usual spot, and later got frozen yogurt with Kate and Kay. I had cheer practice and afterwards I met up with some lovely acme friends. Honestly, I feel like I did something else after that but I can’t remember – this is why I need the pictures, they jog my memory! The weather was pretty tolerable here in California and the day was lazy and a really nice break from school. I don’t normally do anything special on Labor Day but sleep, so this year was definitely a step-up.

TUESDAY, 9/5/17

Nothing memorable happened on Tuesday. I went to school, and went home. Did homework. I’ll admit, this is probably one of the most boring posts. I promise my weeks are normally more interesting, unfortunately this just happened to be not the most exciting one to recap.

WEDNESDAY, 9/6/17

We said goodbye to Matt’s girlfriend Kylie before she left for college by having dinner at a local sushi restaurant. Matt has already left, I think I mentioned he left a couple of weeks ago, but Kylie didn’t leave until this past Friday so we wanted to make sure we did something special. I also babysat for my neighbors earlier in the day which is always a good time – the kids are nice and we get along really well.

THURSDAY, 9/7/17

Thursday was definitely one of the most eventful days I had this week. Environmental Club held its first meeting, which is always a good time. My school’s environmental club is fully made up of my friends, and I joined last year when Maddie was running it. The club holds garden days and also does different environmental events around our community, and it’s a real good time. Later, I had an extra cheer practice before our game on Friday. acme has also been having weekly play readings on Thursdays, and this Thursday happened to be an improv day, so I stayed after cheer practice to make a fool of myself in front of my friends. Another real good time, for sure.

FRIDAY, 9/8/17

Our first football game in our new uniforms! Cheer season is here and so are our new designs. We have two uniforms, these tank ones and then another long sleeved top which is super super cute, unfortunately it does say the name of my town right across the front, so I’m not putting a picture up. All of our photos from the game had these long sleeved uniforms in them, otherwise I’d probably have a billion photos for you. We finished the week cheering at an away game in which the football team lost 13-15. It was a pretty messed up game, and I get sad when I’m mad, so I was a little bit of a mess afterwards. We got home pretty late and I was way too tired to do anything else, so bed it was.

I know that this little update may not have been the most interesting thing in the world, but I wanted to fill you in on what’s been happening in my life recently! I will have another one of these updates next Sunday or Monday, including the weekend, and it will for sure be more exciting than this one. I should also have another post coming up maybe Wednesday or Thursday about my basic makeup routine, but we’ll see if I actually manage to get it up.

What did you think of this little update? Would you like to see more? How was your weekend? Past week? Let me know!

My love to you!

I like these weekly updates natalie. I’m glad your getting settled into a routine for school. My week wasn’t that exciting either, besides school, I have church, bible study, running errands and checking out places to eat or fun things to do with friends.

Loved reading about what you’ve been up to back in school. I can’t believe you’ve been back a month already! Environmental Club sounds like a good time… plus, also beneficial to the environment, ya know. 😉

Thanks so much! I can’t believe it’s been a month either! And yes, it’s really fun and it definitely makes me feel like I’m doing my part for the environment so I love it! Thanks for reading!

That is a pretty football uniform. Even these weeks when nothing happens is rather nice, isn’t it? A bit of the humdrum cannot hurt 🙂

Thank you! I like our other uniforms a lot better, perhaps I’ll go about blurring out the name of our school! And that’s true, it’s nice to get back in the swing of things. Thank you for reading!

Hmm that might be an idea Natalie – blurring the name. I have come across weirdos through the blog and I would strongly recommend it. xx

I loved reading this post. Cheerleading isn’t a thing where I live but I think it’s such a cool thing to do xx

Thank you! I had no idea it was only a thing in certain parts of the world!

Some weeks are just like that where nothing happens. Then others are just non stop busy 😂
I like this post idea though! It would be cool to see what you get up to on some weeks 😄
Cheerleading is so cool to me. It’s not even a thing down here, so I’ve always been fascinated by it. It sounds like a blast 🙂

That’s totally true! I had a super busy week before this but I never got around to writing it up! And thank you! I didn’t know it’s not a thing where you’re from, that’s surprising! Thanks for reading, Angela!
